The general manager of a BU owned by a publicly traded foreign industrial
company asked us to design for all of his operational directors
a unified management tool monitoring the EBIT. The tool allows each
director to plan and forecast the impact of a management decision
on EBIT and to benchmark his financial results with another entity.

The mission
We analyzed the main drivers of profit growth at the operational
directions’ level; linked the analysis with the profit indicators
currently used by the group; designed and realized a simple tool
(Excel); implemented it and trained the directors.
The main difficulty
To obtain the operational directors’ adhesion to an approach
that promotes more transparency about their performances.
The team
A consultant-entrepreneur managed the project along with the general
manager and the operational directors. He was coached and challenged
regularly by a partner. |
